Moniteau County Regional Economic Development Council (MRED) makes dues adjustments

The Moniteau County Regional Economic Development Council (MRED) Board of Directors made adjustments to the dues required for smaller municipalities at the regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 8, at Burgher Haus in California.

With the recent notification that most of the county was eligible to be included in an Enhanced Enterprize Zone (EEZ), and the application now passing the initial stages of processing, MRED has discussed bringing other municipal areas into the organization.

After discussion, the Board approved a dues rate of $1,000 for cities and towns of 1,000 or fewer residents.

It was also suggested that the organization increase marketing to better inform people and businesses of the role of MRED.
