Corticelli Baptist Church to present "Tent Event: Where the Old Meets the New"

Ryan Stiffler, pastor at Corticelli Baptist Church, said during "Tent Event: Where the Old Meets the New" tent revival to be held from July 1-3, they are going to reach out to the younger generation while staying true to some of the old fashioned themes.

"We are going to have some old hymns but we will have some contemporary choruses led by Missouri Baptist Convention Worship Specialist John Francis," Stiffler said. "Some of the themes will be geared to the younger generations while others to the senior adult generations so there will be a balance there between the two. The gospel does not have a generational gap in any way. How we present it sometimes presents a generational gap."

Stiffler added in the New Testament church he never hears a distinction between the young and older members.

"You just hear about the brethren," He said, "the church coming together or the church praying or eating. This speaks to the unity which needs to be in every church. "

"Tent Event: Where the Old Meets the New" will be held at Corticelli Baptist Church, located on Highway C west of Russellville. For more information, call 573-782-3504, email [email protected] or go to www.corticelli.org.
