California High School Head Track Coach Rick Edwards and the high school and middle school track athletes are excited about California's new track, which was completed last summer.
"Having our own track will help us tremendously to train on as it is a softer surface, which is easier on the body when running every day," Edwards said. "It will also help us to have exchange zones, hurdle marks and runways to practice on. Our kids are happy and proud of the new facility and we look forward to using it in the future."
The high school track team will get the opportunity to show off the new track when California hosts its first meet April 12. The middle school track team will get the opportunity as well, April 14.
