The Russellville Indians faced Linn in first-round action at the Class 2 District 6 Baseball Tournament Saturday at New Bloomfield, where the Indians lost a close contest to the Wildcats 5-4, to end the season 8-13.
"It was disappointing for our season to end in the first round of districts, but the kids played their best game of the season and that is what we were striving to do all season," Russellville Coach Lucas Branson said.
