The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for May 18 - 2. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule.
Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways
throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays
can be expected.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing of right of way is underway in various locations. Motorists should
travel with care and be alert to slow moving equipment along the roadside.
Benton County
Daylight Hours
Route 65 from south of Route 52 to just north of the Osage River in Warsaw
- Widening highway to four lanes continues. The contractor continues
working on grading, culverts and pipe work, and roadway construction.
Traffic on existing Route 65 is not affected.
The project is scheduled to be complete in summer 2012.
Route C between Route 65 and the Henry County line - Partial surface
overlay continues through Friday, May 27. One lane will be open and crews
will flag traffic through the work area.
Boone County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Missouri River Bridge and Route BB - Concrete
barriers are in place on the eastbound shoulder. Crews are working in the
shoulder area to excavate and repair a portion of roadside fill to prevent
the soil from sliding and damaging the pavement. Both eastbound lanes are
open to traffic during the work. The ramp to Route BB is narrowed. The work
continues through late July.
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 Northeast Outer Road bridge over Little Cedar Creek, one mile
east of Route Z - Bridge replacement continues. The bridge is closed to
traffic until early June. Motorists should seek alternate routes around
the work. This is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Overnight Hours
Routes 163, 740, 763 and AC within the City limits of Columbia - Roadway
striping continues through Wednesday, May 18 between the hours of 9 p.m. -
5 a.m. One lane in each direction will be open through the work area.
This is a moving operation and motorists should drive through the area with
caution.
Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 70 at mile markers 155 and 161 - Concrete replacement on the
eastbound and westbound off ramps will take place Tuesday, May 24 and
Wednesday, May 25. The ramps from I-70 will be narrowed through the work
area.
Interstate 70 at mile marker 159 - Roadway paving in the westbound lanes
will take place on Thursday, May 26. One westbound lane will be open
through the work area.
Route Z between Interstate 70 and Route JJ - Partial surface overlay will
take place Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27. One lane will be open
and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route BB from Route 54 to Route AA and
Route PP between Route 94 and Route BB - Partial surface overlay continues
through Friday, May 20. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic
through the work area.
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 bridge over Cedar Creek, 1.5 miles south of the Boone/Callaway
County line -Bridge deck replacement and upgrading guard rail in the
northbound lanes.
- The northbound bridge is closed to traffic until late May. During
this time, northbound traffic is redirected onto one southbound lane for
approximately ? mile.
- Bridge painting will take place after the bridge reopens, but some
lane closures may still be needed to finish that work.
This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 in Linn Creek at the intersections of Route V and Business Park
Road/East Valley Drive - Median turn lane construction and intersection
improvements. Grading and asphalt work continues for the new Business Park
Road and East Valley Drive widening.
- Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction, Monday through
Friday until the project is complete. Motorists should expect delays.
- The contractor will install new rumble strips and striping the week of
Monday, May 16.
This project is scheduled for completion in late spring 2011.

Route 54 between the Grand Glaize Bridge to west of Route KK in Osage Beach
- Grading, drainage work, paving and bridges for the new Route 54
Expressway.
- Traffic on Laguna Beach Road is routed on the service road where they
will access the new Case Road Interchange.
Grading continues from Laguna Beach Road to the Grand Glaize Bridge.
The contractor is placing rock base on the new Route 54 Expressway
from Route KK to the west end of the project.
- The contractor is building the tie-ins to the new Route KK and plans
to switch traffic over to the new Route KK is scheduled the week of May 16.
- Key Largo Road traffic has moved to their new location west of where
they currently access existing Route 54.
This portion of the project is scheduled for completion in summer 2011.
Route J bridge over Niangua River, approximately 2.5 miles south of Route 7
- Bridge maintenance and repair will take place Monday, May 23 through
Thursday, May 26. The bridge will be closed to traffic during the work.
Motorists should seek an alternate route.
Route W bridge over Watson Creek, approximately 3.5 miles west of Route 54
- Bridge replacement continues. The bridge is located 3.5 miles west of
U.S. 54. The bridge is closed to traffic through late May. Motorists
should seek alternate routes around the work area. This project is part of
the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Camden and Miller Counties
Daylight Hours
Route 242/Horseshoe Bend Parkway between Lake Ozark Community Bridge and
Route 54 - Grading and paving for a new four-lane highway.
- The contractor is excavating and placing material on the western end
of the project near the Lake of the Ozarks Community Bridge.
- Drainage pipe is being placed near the west end of the project and
construction is underway on a box culvert farther east in the work area.
No traffic delays are expected at this time.
This project is scheduled for completion in late winter 2011.
Cole County

Route 179 between Jefferson City and Marion city limits - Partial surface
overlay continues through Friday, May 27. One lane will be open and crews
will flag traffic through the work area.
Jefferson Street Bridge over Route 54 in Jefferson City - Routine bridge
inspection and maintenance will take place the week of Monday, May 16. One
lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route D overpass over Route 54 in Brazito - Routine bridge inspection and
maintenance will take place the week of Monday, May 16. One lane will be
open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 bridge over Interstate 70 in Boonville - Concrete replacement
continues through Friday, May 27. One lane will be open and crews will
flag traffic through the work area.
Route 135 between Interstate 70 and the Pettis County line - Partial
surface overlay will take place Wednesday, May 25 and Thursday, May 26.
One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route W between Route J and the end of state maintenance - Partial surface
overlay will take place on Wednesday, May 25. One lane will be open and
crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route EE between Route 87 and Route 179 - Partial surface overlay will take
place on Thursday, May 26. One lane will be open and crews will flag
traffic through the work area.
Route NN between Route N and the end of state maintenance and
Route JJ between Route 135 and the end of state maintenance - Partial
surface overlay will take place Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24. One
lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Cooper and Moniteau Counties

Route 87 from Route EE in Prairie Home to Route O in California - Partial
surface overlay will take place on Friday, May 27. One lane will be open
and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Gasconade County

Route 100 between Route 19 and Route N - Partial surface overlay continues
through Friday, May 27. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic
through the work area.
Route 19 between Route 50 and Route 28 - Roadway resurfacing continues
through Friday, May 20. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic
through the work area.
Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 between Route 63 and Route 133 - Partial surface overlay continues
through Thursday, May 19. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic
through the work area.
Miller County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 from Business Route 54 in Eldon to the Cole County line - Roadway
resurfacing in the eastbound lanes is scheduled to begin Wednesday, May 16,
weather permitting. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.
This project will continue through mid-June.
Route 52 bridge over Tavern Creek, approximately two miles east of Route E
- Bridge maintenance and repair will take place on Thursday, May 19. One
lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route Y between Route 52 and Route W - Partial surface overlay continues
through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open and crews will flag
traffic through the work area.
Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route D between Route 87 and Route U - Partial surface overlay will take
place on Monday, May 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic
through the work area.
Route Y between Route 179 and the end of state maintenance - Partial
surface overlay will take place on Tuesday, May 24. One lane will be open
and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route JJ between Route 135 and Route D - Partial surface overlay and repair
continues through Thursday, May 26. One lane will be open and crews will
flag traffic through the work area.
Osage County
Daylight Hours
Route 133 between Route 63 and Route P - Partial surface overlay will take
place Monday, May 23 through Thursday, May 27. One lane will be open and
crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Pettis County
Daylight Hours
Route H between Route 65 and Route D - Roadway paving will take place
Friday, May 20 through Tuesday, May 24. One lane will be open and crews
will flag traffic through the work area.
Route O between Route 50 and Route HH - Partial surface overlay continues
through Friday, May 27. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic
through the work area.
Route O between Route N and Route HH - Roadway paving will take place
Wednesday, May 26 and Thursday, May 27. One lane will be open and crews
will flag traffic through the work area.
Route Z between Route N and the Cooper County line - Roadway paving will
take place on Friday, May 28. One lane will be open and crews will flag
traffic through the work area.
Route OO in the city limits of Houstonia - Roadway paving will take place
Wednesday, May 18 and Thursday, May 19. One lane will be open and crews
will flag traffic through the work area.
Overnight Hours
Route 65 between Route B and Route F - Roadway resurfacing is scheduled to
begin in the northbound and southbound lanes the week of Monday, May 16 and
continue through fall 2011. One lane in each direction will be open
through the work area.
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route HH bridge over Cedar Creek, four miles east of Route 65 - Bridge
replacement continues. The bridge is closed to traffic until mid-June.
Motorists are being detoured around the work area on U.S. 65, Route 50 and
Route O. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement
Program.
Pettis, Morgan and Moniteau Counties

Route 50 from east of Sedalia city limits to Tipton city limits - Roadway
resurfacing continues in driving lanes and shoulders through early fall of
