At the conclusion of the 2010-2011 School Year, Russellville High School Principal Terry Kruse will retire after serving in education for 25 years. Kruse said as he was growing up he had great admiration for teachers and coaches which set the stage for him going into education.
After graduation from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, in 1969, Kruse along with wife Nancy joined the faculty of the school in Belle. Kruse was the coach of every sport at the school and taught six classes which ranged from biology, physical education, health, zoology and general science. From there he went on to teach and coach, as well as, become an administrator in Jefferson City, Sedalia and Eldon among other stops.
"It has been interesting," Kruse said. "Each day is different, largely due to the interaction with students. I have been very fortunate and have enjoyed every district in which I have worked."
Kruse said when he earned his Master's Degree just a few years after receiving his Bachelor's Degree, he knew someday he would eventually transition into administration.
