Calls continue to increase for Mid-Mo Ambulance

Calls to Mid-Mo Ambulance have increased over the years. Although the rise isn't large - going from 3,216 for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2007, to 3,388 for the fiscal year just ended - it has been steady.

According to Mid-Mo Administrator Lee Kempf, there has been a slow but steady rise for at least 15 years.

It is his opinion that several factors are responsible for this increase.

One is the familiarity with the 911 emergency dispatch, Kempf said. "911 has had a significant impact."
