BARRY
Faye Athalia Barry, 90, of California, Mo., passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 at California Care Center.
She was born on July 27, 1921 southeast of Latham, Mo., the daughter of Jesse Franklin and Orpha (Miller) Engelbrecht, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married in California, Mo., to William Oralee Barry, who preceded her in death on May 15, 2008.
Faye was a Latham High School graduate. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of First Baptist Church in California. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Sterling and husband Mike of California, Mo., and Lana Lawson of California, Mo.; five grandchildren, Kim Silvey and husband Dale of California, Mo., Kelly Sterling of Hilton Head, S.C., Jason Lawson and wife Stephanie of California, Mo., Bryan Lawson and wife Becky of California, Mo., and Jennifer Porter and husband Landon of California, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler Silvey, Dylan Silvey, Myra Silvey, Gavin Porter, Lainey Porter, Kierstyn Lawson, Jana Lawson, Corbin Lawson and Kinsley Lawson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo Engelbrecht and Neil Engelbrecht; and one son-in-law, Jim Lawson.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in California. Burial was in Highland Cemetery near Latham. Officiating was Rev. Greg Morrow.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 208 S. Oak Street, California, MO 65018.

BEELER
Mrs. Fay Darlene Beeler, age 65 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011.
Fay was born on October 23, 1946 in Jefferson City a daughter of Everett L. and Hildred C. (Slote) Connell. She was married on April 5, 1969 to Orville A. Beeler at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jefferson City, Mo. Orville died September 4, 1971 while serving with the U.S. Army in Germany.
A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Fay was a 1964 graduate of Jefferson City High School and later attended Nichols Career Center.
She was employed with the State of Missouri for nearly 22 years. She worked at the Division of Welfare, the Department of Health, and most recently for the Department of Social Services in the Division of Medical Services from 1988 until her retirement in 2005.
Fay was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and a past member of St. John's Church in Stringtown, Mo.
Fay enjoyed reading, going for long walks, lunching with friends, movies, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She also loved animals especially her cats. She loved trips to the library, exploring the beaches at Cape Cod, and always dreamed of being a writer. She volunteered with the Girl Scouts and Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She loved going to tag sales and bluegrass festivals with her sister. She drew strength from God and from her close friendships with Diana and Bonnie. She was extremely grateful for their presence in her life.
She was truly a special lady, always willing to help others at the expense of herself. She was so deeply loved and will be even more deeply missed. Her family will treasure the good times they had with her and will keep the memory of her in their hearts forever.
Survivors include: one son, Christopher Beeler of Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter, Andrea Yurko and her husband Christopher of Easthampton, Mass.; one sister, Vernie Murray and her husband Lee "Pete" of California, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Zane Linehan and Evan Yurko.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orville; and an infant sister, Ella M. Connell.
Funeral services were conducted at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Scott Musselman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the National Alliance on Mental Illness or the Glaucoma Research Foundation.

WALLENMEYER
Marion L. Wallenmeyer, 91, of Columbia, formerly of Jamestown, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
She was born on November 18, 1919 in Kansas City, Mo. She was united in marriage on February 6, 1951 to Ralph Wallenmeyer, who preceded her in death on December 30, 1990.
Mrs. Wallenmeyer was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Jamestown, Mo. She was a housewife and homemaker and was always diligent in providing for the needs of her family. She was an avid bird watcher, loved music, reading, being outdoors, antiques and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law, David and Janice Dodds, Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Ron Bowman, Columbia, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Dorsey Wallenmeyer, Ferguson, Mo.; one grandson, Brian Dodds, Jamestown, Mo.; and numerous nephew and nieces.
Private family graveside services were held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Cemetery in Jamestown, Mo. Officiating was Rev. Lewis O'Dneal.
