Community Thanksgiving Service Held at Jamestown Baptist Church

Jamestown Baptist Church was the site for the Annual Community Thanksgiving Service held Wednesday, Nov. 23. Rev. Louie Moyers, pastor at Jamestown Baptist Church, talked to those at the service and a consensus was reached the service has been held annually for approximately 30 years.

The service began with a music special by members of Jamestown Baptist Church. Moyers gave the invocation and welcomed those present. Members of St. Paul's Evangelical Church, Jamestown, sang a music special. Those present sang, "All Hail the Power" before Rev. Justin Nichols, pastor at Jamestown Assembly of God, gave the message taken from chapter 26 of the book of Acts.

New Hope Baptist Church, located east of Jamestown, and Jamestown Assembly of God sang music specials before Rev. Brian Bish, pastor at St. Paul's Evangelical Church, led the offering taken for the Jamestown Ministerial Alliance's Benevolence Fund with an offering prayer. Rev. Joshua Crider, pastor at New Hope Baptist Church, gave the pastoral prayer and members of Jamestown Baptist Church sang a music special. The service concluded with those present singing "Count Your Blessings" and Rev. Janet Deneke, pastor at Grace United Methodist Church, Jamestown, giving the benediction.
