Sallie Humphrey's grandfather started a flooring company in Kingdom City in the late 1960's. The flooring business, called Carpet Values, was where her father worked for 18 years and both she and her husband Chance have flooring experience. It was when a church back in the Mokane area needed a new floor that Humphrey Custom Flooring LLC, was born.
To help the church, the Humphrey's started an account with a flooring distributor to help save money for the project. The flooring distributor asked if they wanted to go ahead and start a flooring business which they decided to do. Through Chance's family, a location they could use was found in Tipton and in April, Humphrey Custom Flooring located at the intersection of highways 5 and 50 was open.
