CHS Cross Country runners advance to state meet

The California High School varsity cross country team competed at the Class 2 District 7 Meet at Tiger Jack's Golf Course, Holden, Saturday, Oct. 29, where the Lady Pintos finished in second place as a team to qualify to advance to the 2011 MSHSAA Boys and Girls Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov. 5, at Oak Hills Golf Center (5K), Jefferson City. Two Pintos also qualified to advance to the state championships at they finished in the top 15 individually. This is the first trip to the state championships for the CHS cross country team, which is in its first year.
