Jamestown defeats Prairie Home 18-1

The Jamestown varsity softball team hosted Prairie Home Sept. 12, where the Lady Eagles pocketed an 18-1 win in three innings.

Freshman Stephanie Birkmann recorded the win with two strikeouts.

"This was Stephanie's first career win," Jamestown Coach E.H. Hirschvogel said.

The Lady Eagles started the game off with an 8-0 lead after the first inning. The Lady Panthers scored one run in the second inning, while Jamestown brought two home to lead 10-1. The Lady Eagles added eight runs in the third inning to pocket the win, 18-1.
