DUTCHER

Lester Dutcher, 88, of California, Mo., passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at California Care Center.

He was born on April 16, 1923 in High Point, Mo., the son of Horace and Irene (Stevens) Dutcher, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on September 23, 1946 in Jefferson City to Norma Jean Hays, who survives of the home.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army in World War II. He worked as a produce manager, first for Kroger from 1950-1976, later working for Price Chopper. He was a member of High Point Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Athletics and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, and California High School girls basketball.

He is survived by one son, Larry Lee Dutcher and wife Barb of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Martin and husband Ed of California, Mo., and Lynnette Bowles and husband Rusty of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo. Burial with full military honors was in High Point Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Don Almond.

LOGANBILL

Ivan Nelson Loganbill, age 88, of Versailles, entered his eternal home on September 16, 2011, at his home.

He was born December 17, 1922, in Excelsior, Missouri, the son of Joseph Henry and Tinnie Vera Callison Loganbill.

On February 12, 1943, Ivan was drafted into the Army. World War II was raging. He was deployed overseas where he drove a truck carrying supplies, equipment, and personnel. He drove in blackouts and night convoys. He was responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of his vehicle. He achieved the rank of Corporal and was honorably discharged on January 18, 1946.

He was united in marriage to Emma Jean "Jeannie" Vaughan on September 10, 1950. The wedding ceremony was held in Clarksburg, Missouri, at the bride's home.

Ivan spent most of his adult years raising turkeys on a farm north of Versailles. He also drove an 18 wheeler for a number of years. In his retirement, he enjoyed landscaping his yard.

He was an active member of Bethel Church in Fortuna, Missouri, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. He also served as Church Chairman and Church Trustee, and in his later years, he served on the Bethel Cemetery Board.

Ivan is survived by six sons and three daughters; Rick Loganbill and wife Joni of Versailles, Rad Loganbill and wife Barbara of Versailles, Karen Garber and husband Stan of Versailles, Kent Loganbill and wife Debra of Versailles, Dara Gaines and husband David of High Hill, Missouri, Dean Loganbill and wife Ann of Barnett, Missouri, Mark Loganbill and wife Sara of Florence, Missouri, Matt Loganbill and wife Tamera of Versailles, and Lesa Moesch and husband Michael of Versailles; 44 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jean "Jeannie Loganbill, his parents, Joe and Tinnie Loganbill, his sister, Lois Hoffstetter, a granddaughter, Erica Loganbill, and a grandson, Seth Loganbill.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, at the Bethel Church with Pastor Dave Zapf officiating. Graveside services and interment with full military honors followed in the Bethel Cemetery.

TUTTLE

Dean Tuttle, age 54, of Tipton, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011, at his home.

He was born January 15, 1957, in California, Missouri, the son of Warren Eugene "Gene" and Leola Long Tuttle.

On March 21, 1998, in Tipton, he was united in marriage to Margaret Simmons, who survives of the home.

Dean was a 1975 graduate of the Tipton High School. He attended Midwest Technical School in Kansas City, Missouri, graduating in 1976. In 1973, he went to work at Carl's MFA in Tipton, where he worked for 12 years. He also worked for Co-Mo Electric for 21 years. Dean has owned and operated Tuttle's Garage in Tipton since May of 1985.

He was a member of the Oakland Baptist Church in Clarksburg. He was also a member of the FFA, treasurer of the Wisdom-Tuttle Cemetery Fund, and president of the Odd Fellow Cemetery.

Dean enjoyed working on vehicles, attending the races, fishing, farming, helping others, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Margaret, he is survived by his son, Michael Tuttle of the home; his daughter, Bailey Tuttle of the home; his mother, Leola Tuttle of Tipton; his brothers, Charles Tuttle and wife Patty, David Tuttle and wife Debbie, and Richard Tuttle and wife Sherry all of Clarksburg, Mike Tuttle and wife Jeannie of Bunceton; his sisters, Judy Oppermann and husband Steve of Tipton, Rhonda Miller and husband John of Syracuse, Bonnie Allee and husband Larry of California, and Rita Pace and husband David of Fortuna; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruth and Vernon Simmons of Tipton; his brother-in-law, David Simmons of Tipton, his sisters-in-law, Wilma Mefford and husband Wes and Jennifer Kohler and husband Kelly both of Tipton; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Tuttle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, at the First Baptist Church in Tipton with Brother Andrew Kuttenkuler officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery with Jonathan Tuttle, Chuck Tuttle, Brice Simmons, Brandon Jungmeyer, Andy Pace, Daniel Tuttle, Bobby Jungmeyer, and Aaron Pace serving as casketbearers.
