The annual picnic of former special services classmates and Deerbrook friends was held at the Lions Club Pavillion at Proctor Park Friday, Sept. 23. Everyone brought a covered dish and the meat was donated by Mike and Jane Robertson of Burger Haus.

The picnics have been held every year since 1999. Parents and family members also attended the get-together.

Formerly held at the Rohrbach Shelter House the event is now held at the Lions Club Shelter House since benches have been placed in that area in memory of deceased students.

There are three benches now in place.
