Upcoming Road Work for Mid-Missouri April 4 - 13

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for Wednesday, April 4 through Friday, April 13, 2012. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signing and drive safely through work areas. Boone County

Daylight Hours/Overnight Hours

Route 63 from just north of Route 163 to Route H - Construction of a new diamond interchange and southbound lanes. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures.

  • Route H is temporarily closed at U.S. 63. Traffic is being detoured to Hardwick Lane, located near the U.S. 63 roadside park. Route H will remain closed at U.S. 63 until the new interchange opens to traffic.

  • The contractor continues with bridge construction at Turkey Creek and at Route H.

  • Motorists should be prepared for periodic reductions in speed limits through the work area.

The entire project is scheduled for completion late 2012.

Route ZZ between Scott Boulevard and end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance continues through Wednesday, April 4. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Callaway County

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route PP bridge over Middle Creek west of County Road 470 - Bridge replacement is under way. The bridge is closed to traffic through late May. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Daylight Hours

Interstate 70 between mile markers 146 and 159 - Roadway repair in the eastbound lanes continues through Thursday, April 5. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route D between Interstate 70 and Route 94 - Roadway maintenance continues through Thursday, April 12. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Camden County

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route 54 at the Route 5 Interchange in Camdenton - Sidewalk construction and ramp widening is under way.

  • Traffic has been shifted to accommodate the installation of temporary barrier curbs in preparation for sidewalk construction across the U.S. Route 54 overpass bridge.

  • Motorists should expect lane closures and the narrowing of U.S. Route 54 traffic lanes through the interchange area during construction. Minor delays are possible.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route 7 between Route 5 and the Pulaski County line - Roadway maintenance continues through Thursday, April 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cole County

Daylight Hours

Route 54 between Old Bass Road and Route CC - Improvements at 12 intersections along 8.5 miles of U.S. 54 to improve safety and traffic flow.

  • Most work on the project will be suspended for the winter, but crews will be working off the roadway at Buffalo Road and installing lighting in various locations. Work to install lighting will take place on the shoulder of the roadway.

The entire corridor is scheduled for completion in fall 2012.

Route 179 between Route C and Edgewood Drive - Grading, drainage, and bridge paving for a new interchange. Periodic lane closures may occur, and motorists are advised to use caution through the area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2012.

Christy Drive between Stadium Boulevard and the end of state maintenance in Jefferson City - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 9 through Wednesday, April 1. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Jefferson Street between Stadium Boulevard and the end of state maintenance in Jefferson City - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 9 through Wednesday, April 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cole, Osage and Gasconade Counties

Daylight Hours

Route 50 between the Cole/Moniteau County line and the Gasconade/Franklin county line - Roadway striping will take place during the week of April 2. One lane will be open to traffic through the work area. This is a moving operation and motorists should drive with care through the area.

Cole and Miller Counties

Route 54 between Route 63 and The Miller/Camden county line - Roadway striping will take place during the week of April 2. One lane will be open to traffic through the work area. This is a moving operation and motorists should drive with care through the area.

Crawford County

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route BB bridge over Cherry Valley Creek south of Woolsey Road - Bridge replacement is under way. The bridge is closed to traffic through mid April. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Daylight Hours

Route 19 between Route 8 and Route 49 - Roadway maintenance continues through Wednesday, April 4. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route J between Interstate 44 and the Franklin County line - Roadway maintenance continues through Thursday, April 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M between Route 8 and Route YY - Roadway maintenance will take place on Thursday, April 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route F between Jakes Prairie Road and Westbrook Road - Roadside maintenance continues through Thursday, 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route WW between Interstate 44 and the end of state maintenance - Culvert pipe replacement in various locations continues through Thursday, April 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Crawford, Phelps and Pulaski Counties

Interstate 44 between the Franklin/Crawford county line and Pulaski/Laclede county line - Roadway striping will take place during the week of April 2. One lane will be open to traffic through the work area. This is a moving operation and motorists should drive with care through the area.

Dent County

Route H between Route 72 and Route C - Culvert pipe repair in various locations continues through Friday, April 6. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Gasconade County

Daylight Hours

Route P between Route 50 and Route 28 - Roadway maintenance continues through Thursday, April 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route B between Route 28 and Route U - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 9 through Thursday, April 12. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Howard County

Daylight Hours

Route 87 between Route J and Route AA - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 9 and Tuesday, April 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route W between Route 240 and Route A - Roadside maintenance will take place Wednesday, April 4 and Thursday, April 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Laclede County

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route Z bridge over Walker Creek just south of Route 32 - Bridge replacement is under way. The bridge is closed to traffic through late April. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route N bridge over Mill Creek south of Route MM - Bridge replacement is under way. The bridge is closed to traffic through mid May. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Daylight Hours

Interstate 44 between the Pulaski County line and the Webster County line - Pavement repair in the westbound lanes continues through Thursday, April 19. One westbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.

Route J between Route 5 and Interstate 44 - Culvert pipe repair in various locations continues through Thursday, April 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Maries County

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route 28 bridge over Dry Fork two miles south of Route Z - Bridge replacement is underway.

  • The bridge is closed to traffic through early April. Motorists are being detoured around the work area on Routes 63, 42 and Z.

  • The weight limits on the Route C bridge over Peavine Creek have been upgraded for truck usage. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route A bridge over Spring Creek south of Route 63 - Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin the week of April 9. The bridge will be closed to traffic through early June. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route BB bridge over the Little Maries River west of County Road 628 - Bridge replacement is complete. The bridge was opened to traffic in March 28. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route 133 between Route 52 and Route BB - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 9 and Tuesday, April 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route H between Route 68 and Route C - Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, April 4 and Thursday, April 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 63 and Route 68 - Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, April 11 and Thursday, April 12. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Miller County

Route 52 between Route 17 and the Maries County line - Roadway maintenance continues through Thursday, April 12. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Z between Route W and Route Y - Culvert pipe replacement in various locations continues through Thursday, April 12. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Moniteau County

Route 50 between Flag Springs Road and Bahner Quarry Road - Roadway maintenance continues through Friday, April 6. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. Periodic delays are possible.

Moniteau and Morgan Counties

Route 50 between Tipton and the Morgan/Pettis county line - Roadway striping will take place during the week of April 2. One lane will be open to traffic through the work area. This is a moving operation and motorists should drive with care through the area.

Morgan County

Route 135 between Route 50 and Route 52 - Roadway maintenance continues through Thursday, April 12. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Osage County

Route 133 bridge over Sugar Creek in Meta - Bridge replacement is under way. The bridge is closed to traffic through late April. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route K bridge over Doolings Creek south of Chamois - Bridge replacement is under way. The bridge is closed to traffic through late April. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route 63 between Route 50 and Route P - Roadway maintenance continues through Thursday, April 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Osage, Maries and Phelps Counties

Route 63 between Route 50 in Osage County and the Phelps/Texas county line - Roadway striping will take place during the week of April 2. One lane will be open to traffic through the work area. This is a moving operation and motorists should drive with care through the area.

Phelps County

Route 63 between Interstate 44 and the Maries County line - Roadway resurfacing will begin the week of April 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in Fall 2012.

Pulaski County

Route U bridge over unnamed branch, three miles west of Crocker - Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin the week of April 9. The bridge will be closed to traffic through late May. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route DD between Route 17 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 9 through Thursday, April 12. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Washington County
