Meisenheimer places at state speech tournament

California High School senior Kassi Meisenheimer placed second in the Poetry category at the State Speech Tournament at the University of Missouri-Columbia Saturday, and fifth in the Dramatic Interpretation category.
California High School senior Kassi Meisenheimer placed second in the Poetry category at the State Speech Tournament at the University of Missouri-Columbia Saturday, and fifth in the Dramatic Interpretation category.

California High School senior Kassi Meisenheimer competed in the 61st MSHAA State Speech, Debate and Drama Championship at University of Missouri, Saturday, April 21, in three categories - poetry, humorous interpretation and dramatic interpretation.

"It is amazing to go to a competition where you feel like everyone is equally talented and even more amazing to win with such fierce competition," said Mesenheimer. She competed against 118 schools with no division by school size.
