Robert Schlup said his interest with tractors began with his grandparents who owned a farm where he would hang around farm equipment. He drew to machinery and was interested in working with cars, trucks and tractors. He graduated from California High School and attended Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, majoring in Power Technology. He began working with tractors at a local California dealership in 1986 where he began his career as a mechanic. For over 24 years he has worked in the tractor service business, with part of those years being the service manager at Henry Tractor and Crown Power and Equipment. Two years ago Robert decided to open Sloopy's Tractor Shop.
