A total of 53 area youth ages 3-5, including 31 girls and 22 boys, participated in the 2012 Little Mr. and Miss Moniteau County contest Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the main arena of the Moniteau County Fairgrounds, California, where judges ultimately chose Corbin Lawson, 4, and Addison Harris, 5, to wear the crowns.
Corbin is the son of Brian and Becky Lawson, California, and Addison is the daughter of Tim and Stephanie Harris, California.
Participants of the contest were not only judged on their presentation the evening of the competition, they also attended a tea party the morning of the contest (Tuesday, Aug. 7), where they played games and had snacks, and each was interviewed by the judges.
Making their final appearance at the Little Mr. and Miss Moniteau County contest were 2011 Little Mr. and Miss Moniteau County Walker Cary and Kierstyn Lawson, who were present to pass their crowns on to the new title holders. Walker is the son of Nathan and Tracy Cary, Tipton, and Kierstyn is the daughter of Jason and Stephanie Lawson, California.

Selected as the first runner-up for Little Mr. Moniteau County was Hudson Clay, 4, son of Andy and Kacey Clay, Jamestown, while the second runner-up was Flinton Percival, 4, son of Rick and LaTonya Percival, Russellville.
Selected as the first runner-up for Little Miss Moniteau County was Addasyn Hayden, 5, daughter of Andrew and Michelle Hayden, California, while the second runner-up was Brylie Kilson, 4, daughter of Chase Taggart and Samantha Kilson, California.
