Financial issues dominate Mid-Mo Ambulance Board meeting

The sales tax repayment agreement between Mid-Mo Ambulance and Morgan County was only one of the issues of financial importance which dominated the regular monthly Mid-Mo Ambulance meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

The Board of Directors approved a Promissory Note from Morgan County for payment of the misdirected sales tax money amounting to $535,704.72. The money, which was paid to Morgan County due to a coding error by the Missouri Department of Revenue, will be paid to the District on Jan. 31 over the next five years. The first payment of $107,140.94 was received, but could not be deposited until the board approved the agreement. No interest will be charged.
