The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for Wednesday, Feb. 22 through Friday, Mar. 2, 2012. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signing and drive safely through work areas. Boone County
Daylight Hours/Overnight Hours
Route 63 from just north of Route 163 to Route H - Construction of a new diamond interchange and southbound lanes. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures.
Route H is temporarily closed at U.S. 63. Traffic is being detoured to Hardwick Lane, located near the U.S. 63 roadside park. Route H will remain closed at U.S. 63 until the new interchange opens to traffic.
The contractor continues with bridge construction at Turkey Creek and at Route H.
Motorists should be prepared for periodic reductions in speed limits through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion late 2012.
Route ZZ between Scott Boulevard and end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance continues through Friday, Feb. 24. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 7 between Route 5 and the Pulaski County line - Roadway maintenance and repair will take place Monday, Feb. 27 through Friday, Mar. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route A between Route 54 and Route E - Roadway maintenance and repair continues through Friday, Feb. 24. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Old Bass Road and Route CC - Improvements at 12 intersections along 8.5 miles of U.S. 54 to improve safety and traffic flow.
- Most work on the project will be suspended for the winter, but crews will be working off the roadway at Buffalo Road and installing lighting in various locations. Work to install lighting will take place on the shoulder of the roadway.
The entire corridor is scheduled for completion in fall 2012.
Route 179 between Route C and Edgewood Drive - Grading, drainage, and bridge paving for a new interchange. Periodic lane closures may occur, and motorists are advised to use caution through the area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2012.
Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 70 over the Lamine River at Mile Marker 93 - Bridge maintenance and repair will take place in the eastbound lanes on Thursday, Feb. 23. One lane in each direction will be open to traffic in the work area.
Route 87 between I-70 and Route J - Culvert pipe replacement continues through Friday, Mar. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 44 at mile marker 215 - Roadway maintenance will take place in the eastbound lanes on Wednesday, Feb. 22. One eastbound lane will be open to traffic in the work area.
Route C approximately five miles west of I-44 - Culvert pipe replacement will take place Thursday, Feb. 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Gasconade County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 between Route 28 and the Crawford County line - Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, Feb. 22 and Thursday, Feb. 23. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route P between Route 50 and Route 28 - Culvert pipe replacement will take place in various locations Friday, Feb. 24 through Friday, Mar. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Maries County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 28 bridge over Dry Fork two miles south of Route Z - Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin Monday, Feb. 20.
The bridge will be closed to traffic through early April. Motorists are being detoured around the work area on Routes 63, 42 and Z.
The weight limits on the Route C bridge over Peavine Creek have been upgraded for truck usage. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route M between Route 28 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Thursday, Feb. 23 through Tuesday, Feb. 28. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route EE between Route 28 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 29. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Miller County

Route 52 bridge over Route 54 - Bridge deck repair continues through Friday, Mar. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 52 between St. Elizabeth and the Maries County line - Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday. Feb. 22. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Morgan County

Route 5 between Route W and Route TT - Roadway maintenance continues through Friday, Feb. 24. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route P and Route Y - Culvert pipe replacement continues through Friday, Mar. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route BB between Route C and Route Cutler Road - Roadway maintenance continues through Friday, Feb. 24. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route J between Route C and Route Bluff Road - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, Feb. 27 through Friday, Mar. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
