JV Pintos Sink the Pirates

The California JV Pintos played the Boonville Pirates Tuesday, Jan 18. The Pintos were looking to keep their perfect season going when they entered Tuesdays game. The pintos started off the game a little shaky, as their defense was not very good, but still got the production they needed on the offensive side. They were up 12-10 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter was the best for the Pintos defensively as they only allowed 2 points. Offensively they were led by Sophomore Chase Ramsdell who scored all 8 of the Pintos points in the second quarter. At halftime the score was 20-12.

The Pintos continued to show their dominance as they scored a total of 16 points in the third quarter while only giving up 6 points defensively. Dylan Albertson and Jerry Lutz both scored 6 points this quarter accounting for most of the Pinto points.

The final quarter was a good one for both teams. The Pirates scored 10 points, but the Pintos scored a whopping 19. Burke Brant was the star player in this quarter as he scored all 6 of his points. The final score ended up being 55-28. Chase Ramsdell and Dylan Alberston tied for leading scorer with 11 followed by Austin Gump with 9. Anthony Price was the leading rebounder with 4. Gump contributed 3 assists, which was the team high. Albertson also had 4 steals followed by Gump with 3. The JV Pintos are now 10-0 under the coaching of Lance Connor.
