The California Pinto basketball teams hosted Versailles Friday night, where the varsity boys defeated the Tigers 55-42.
California led 18-8 after one quarter and 27-18 at the half. The Pintos went on to outscore the Tigers 14-12 in the third quarter and 14-12 in the fourth to capture the win.
"Itss good to get a win, but we have to play better than we played tonight," California Coach Blair Scanlon said. "We were inconsistent in the first quarter. We're going to practice hard this week to get ready for Saturday's game against Dixon.
