Members of the Jamestown community as well as visitors came together to worship as a community at the Jamestown 175th Birthday Celebration Worship Service held Sunday, July 8, at the Jamestown School.

The service began with a prelude by Ted Rohrbach. Jamestown Mayor Jonathan Imhoff welcomed those in attendance before handing off the service to the Jamestown Ministerial Alliance. Rev. Janet Deneke, Grace United Methodist, Jamestown, gave the opening prayer before "God Bless America" was sung by all. Members of Jamestown Baptist Church gave a music special. Rev. Brian Bish, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Church, Jamestown, gave a children's message. Members of St. Paul's Evangelical Church then gave a music special as well. Rev. Louie Moyers, pastor of Jamestown Baptist Church, gave the scripture reading and message. Rev. Josh Crider, New Hope Baptist Church, gave the pastoral prayer before Rev. Justin Nichols, pastor of Jamestown Assembly of God gave the benediction.

Following the service, a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, fruit salad and drinks were served by students at Jamestown High School.
