Wanda F. Clark, 74, of Lee's Summit, and formerly of Independence, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Village House Hospice surrounded by her family.

Wanda was born October 23, 1937 in Jamestown, Mo., to Clarence and Katherine (Wingate) Tuttle.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her children Mark Clark and wife Mary, Gary Clark and wife Lisa, daughter Kathy Harris and husband John; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister Carol Joan Ernst; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy Clark in '03.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

DALSTEIN

Wilma Jean Dalstein, 55, of California, Mo., passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at her home.

She was born on November 26, 1956, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Raymond Cecil and Shirley Jean (Gerlach) Dalstein, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was a 1975 graduate of California High School. She worked for 17 years for Cargill and later for the jacket factory in California.

She is survived by two sisters, Edith Drinkall of the home, and Ruby Hibdon and husband Ike of Latham; two nephews, Cole and Bronc; and lots of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California. Burial will be in McGirk Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Randall, assisted by Chaplain Bart Larson. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

ENGLISH

Linda G. English died on June 29, 2012 at her home in California.

She was born April 25, 1949 and raised by Henry and Tillie Wyss, both of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on December 28, 1975 to Richard D. English, who survives.

After high school and college at UMSL, Linda taught school at Mt. Providence and St. Sebastian Catholic Schools in St. Louis for over 26 years. During her career, she was very active in the Bellarmine Speech League as a coach, a judge, and later sat on the Board of Directors of the league. Linda had a tender spot for all children, and some of her students still kept in touch with her. Linda's other passion was animals, and she rescued many injured or abandoned animals during her life. Linda was a very loyal friend and good at comforting others, despite the trials of her own health. Talking to her would brighten your day. Linda was known for her determination, her spunky personality, her zest for life, and her lively sense of humor.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, her family and many friends.

Services will be private.

FERGUSON

Everett Wayne Ferguson, 64, of California, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City.

He was born on December 7, 1947, in California, Mo., the son of Bobby Franklin Ferguson, who preceded him in death and Helen Irene (Baker) Wallenmeyer, who survives. He was married on August 14, 1971, at Main Street Baptist Church in California, Mo., to Debbie Gabert, who survives of the home.

He was a 1965 graduate of California High School, and proudly served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1967-1969. He worked as a printer for the State of Missouri for 30 years, and was a part-time driver for Bonnie Plants. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. From early on, he loved to play the drums and was a member of various bands. He also loved golf, bowling, and travelling. He was a member of California Jaycees and California Country Club. His pride and joy was his grandkids, and he loved being around them.

He is survived by two sons, Mike Ferguson (Lynn), and Mitch Ferguson (Joanie), all of California; four grandchildren, Dustin, Garret, Madalyn and Dylan Ferguson; one stepbrother, Bill Wallenmeyer of Pennsylvania; two stepsisters, Roberta Rothstein of California, Mo., and Debbie Gonzales of Kansas; and stepmother, Donna Ferguson of California, Mo. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Alpha and Delmar Ferguson; and maternal grandparents Raymond and Ethel "Granny" Baker.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo. Burial was in California City Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Roy Barnard.

RIGGS

David Roy Riggs, age 56, of California, Mo., passed away July 3,2012 in California, Mo.

David was born April 1, 1956, in California, Mo., the son of Gerald Riggs, Sr who preceded him in death and his mother Grace Laverne Hays Lockard whom survives with her husband Bruce Lockard of Jefferson City, Mo.

David attended Latham Schools and Versailles High School. He had worked on the assembly line at Command Web.

He is survived by: one son, David Roy Riggs Jr. of Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter, Amanda Dawn Bax, Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother Gerald Riggs Jr.; three sisters, Betty Atwell, Shirley Coss and Barbara Riggs all of California, Mo.; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Harvey Riggs and one half brother, Jerry Wayne Hays.

Graveside Services were held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at the California City Cemetery. Officiating was the Rev. Steve Jones. Burial was in the California City Cemetery.

Hilda Marie Takats, 87, formerly of St. Louis, Mo., passed away peacefully Monday, July 9, 2012 at Moniteau Care Center, California, Mo.

Hilda was born October 29, 1924, near Louise, Texas, the daughter of Charles Otto and Hedwig (Mathys) Schoeneberg. She was married on August 22, 1948 in Jamestown, Mo., to Fred Takats who preceded her in death on August 29, 2008.

She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1943. Hilda worked at People's Bank in Jamestown after graduation before moving to St. Louis to work as a secretary at Monsanto until retirement. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in St. Louis for many years.

She is survived by two sisters, Anna Laura Zagare and husband Danny of Rahway, N.J., and Louise Tucker of Houston, Texas; one sister-in-law, Emogene Schoeneberg of California, Mo.; and 19 nieces and nephews. Hilda was preceded in death by brothers Emil, Otto, and Clarence (Dorothy) Schoene-berg; and sisters, Helen (Leonard) Wallenmeyer and Mildred (Ken) McGowen; and one nephew, Mark Schoeneberg.

Hilda was a woman of great faith and a servant heart. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo., and on Thursday July 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, St. Louis, Mo. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis on Thursday. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie Schoeneberg in California, Mo., and the Rev. Dr. Dennis A. Kastens in St. Louis. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo., and on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Hoffmeister South County Chapel.
