DeLONG

Stefan Douglas DeLong, 67, of Springfield, passed away June 7, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.

He was born February 14, 1945, to Charlotte and Dale DeLong who preceded him in death.

He was a 1963 graduate of California High School.

Survivors include two children, Stefanie Wirths and her husband Curt of Camdenton, Mo., and Stuart DeLong of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Keegan, Cale and McKenna Wirths and Stella Speros-DeLong; three sisters, Jean Huston and husband Bob of Riverview, Fla., Cynthia Francis of Springfield, Cecilia Gardner and husband Blain of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Charles E. Schnuck, 75, of California, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on March 4, 1937, in Prairie Home, Mo., the son of John H. Schnuck and Mary Wilbur Kendrick, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was a 1955 graduate from the Prairie Home High School. He was married on November 10, 1961, in California, Mo., to Carmen Seyfert, who survives of California.

He retired from the maintenance department of MODOT. Charles also served eight years in the Missouri National Guard. He was a member of California United Church of Christ, the California Oddfellows, and enjoyed farming and loved to hunt.

He is survived by one sister, Carolyn Pygman of Raytown, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Schnuck II in October of 1983.

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Burial was in California Evangelical Cemetery. Officiating was Mr. Jack Bowlin.

Memorials are suggested to the California United Church of Christ, 101 N. Oak, California, MO 65018.

Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.

Wilbur K. Zaugg, 86, of Ottawa, Kansas, formerly of Boonville, passed away at Richmond Medical Care Center in Richmond, Kansas, June 7, 2012.

Wilbur Kenneth Zaugg was born in Jamestown, Mo., Feb. 4, 1926, the son of John Zaugg and Alma Sperber Zaugg.

Wilbur served his country during WW II with the U.S. Army. He married Leona Marie Thompson March 19, 1949, in Jamestown and they were blessed with three children, Kenneth Zaugg and his wife, Sue of Iberia, Mo., Danny Zaugg and his wife, Claudine, of Warsaw Mo., and his daughter Juanita Brecht and her husband, Kenneth of Ottawa, Kan. He was a farmer most of his life in the Boonville area.

He is survived by his wife, Marie, of the home; his children, as well as eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial services were held at St. John's United Church of Christ in Billingsville, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 11. with Pastor Christine Isham-Walsh officiating. Inurnment followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be directed to St. John's UCC, in care of Davis Funeral Home.
