DAMPF
Donald Paul Dampf, age 77, of Russellville, passed away, Friday, March 2, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
He was born January 8, 1935, on the family farm near Russellville a son of Herschel and Virgie Scott Dampf, who preceded him in death. On April 6, 1956, at the Hickory Hill Baptist Church, Donald Paul was united in marriage to Ruth M. Hogg, who survives at their home.
He was a 1953 graduate of Russellville High School.
Donald Paul's banking career began with Exchange Bank in Jefferson City, where he was employed for 11 years. He retired as President and Chief Financial Officer of the Community Bank of Russellville in 2001, after 33 years of employment.
He was a member of the Corticelli Baptist Church west of Russellville.
In his heart he was a cattleman, spending his entire life on the farm where he was born. He enjoyed being on horseback, whether it be working cattle or on trail rides. To him a vacation was spending time in the fields, feeding his cattle, putting up hay or being on his tractor.
Donald Paul also enjoyed the time he could spend with his family. He enjoyed working alongside his sons, and was a dedicated supporter of his grandchildren's activities.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by three children, Terry Spieler and special friend Mark Rhoads of Jefferson City; Mark Dampf and wife Jennifer and Danny Dampf and wife Jennifer all of Russellville; one sister, Bonnie Sestak of Russellville; seven grandchildren, Aaron Spieler and special friend Ashley Luttrell, Abby Spieler, Drew and Kelci Dampf and Halie, Molly and Isaac Dampf, his first great-grandchild is due in August of 2012, two nieces and a nephew, Betty Parker, Bruce Sestak and Brenda Miller, along with other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, at the Corticelli Baptist Church with Pastor Peter Kurowski officiating the services. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or The Arthritis Foundation-Juvenile Arthritis Research.

MOCHEL
Margaret Marie Mochel passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, after a brief illness at the home of her daughter with family at her side.
Margaret was born November 13, 1927, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Harry and Lillian Craig.
As a child she was raised in Boonville, Mo., by uncle William and aunt Lena Fowler. She graduated from Boonville High School in 1946.
Margaret married Harold T. Mochel on September 27, 1950, in the Evangelical Church in Boonville.
Her hands were never idle, she enjoyed cooking, needle work, quilting and gardening but especially spending time with her family. She was a member of the Prairie Home Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Harold; son, Orvil (Terry); daughter, Rebecca (Steve) Van Drimmelen; two grandchildren, Caleb and Courtney Troutt and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by uncle William and aunt Lena Fowler; and six siblings, Harold Travis, Dorothy Limekuehler, Virginia McGeorge, John Craig, Bernice Jenkins and Raymond Craig.
Graveside services and burial were held Sunday afternoon, March 4 at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

POWELL
Ernest Gayle Powell, 90, formerly of California, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Ashland Villa in Ashland, Missouri.
He was born in Marion, Missouri on January 18, 1922, the son of Earl Powell and Lillian Baushausen Powell. He was married January 21, 1945 in Lohman, Missouri, to Ruth A. Raithel.
Mr. Powell was a graduate of Centertown High School. He served in the Air Force in World War II. He was a farmer in the Shiloh Community in Moniteau County as well as working as a tool and die maker for McGraw Edison and Shop Smith in Jefferson City. He was active in the boards and associations affiliated with the Shiloh Christian Church Community. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in California, Missouri.
He is survived by this wife and two daughters, Sue McDaniel of Columbia, Missouri, and Carol Beth Irlenborn (Mitch) of Goodyear, Arizona.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the California Nutrition Center in California, Missouri.

TAYLOR
Trudy R. Taylor, 64, of California, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City.
She was born on October 12, 1947 in California, the daughter of Charlie and Geneva (Newkirk) Albin, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on May 27, 1972 to Gerald W. Taylor, who survives of the home.
She was a 1965 graduate of California High School and a member of the California Church of God of Prophecy, where she had served as Sunday School Superintendent for many years, and supported Gerald as he was the pastor at the church for several years. She worked at one time for Cargill and later worked as office manager for Racker's Manufacturing in California. She loved to read, shop, embroidery and stitch, and spend time with her family and grandchildren. She was a loving mom not only to her children but also to all those others who came through her house with her kids.
She is survived by three daughters, Lori Jones and husband Steve of California; Tina Taylor of California; and Kayla Barnard and husband Jeremy of California; three grandchildren, Taylor Jones, Jackson and Kennedy Barnard; one brother, Jerry Albin and wife Joyce of Boonville; one sister, Sharon Albin of California; one brother-in-law, Dean Lord of California; and several other in-laws and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Lord.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Life Center, California, Mo. Burial was in California City Cemetery. Officiating were Pastors Steve Jones and Jeremy Barnard.

YORK
Geneva Belle York, 95, of Tipton and Latham, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kan.
She was born on Jan. 11, 1917, in Cooper County, the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Vanderhoof) Homfeldt both of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on August 17, 1935, in Tipton, to Albert W. Dix then later married Roy York on June 22, 1947 in Kansas City, both of whom preceded her in death.
She went to Baxter grade school and attended Tipton High School. She worked many years as a cook for the Latham School. She was a member of Green Grove Church. She accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was 9 years old and she remembers that as one of the happiest days of her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Jewell Ellen Hall and husband Dean of Paola, Kan.; one son, Mike York and wife Joyce of Latham; and one sister, Ollie Mae Holbrook of Lee's Summit, Mo.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother in law- Harold Holbrook and granddaughter- Dawn Reneé Hall.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services. Burial was in the Moreau cemetery. Officiating was Earl Fuller.
