April election sees few contested races

Several local races contested on April ballot, but for the most part the number of people filing matched the number of seats up for election.

Contested city election

California City Council

Two candidates are vying for Ward 1 - Joe Coffelt and Ron Baker. Ward 2 and Ward 3 are uncontested.

Contested school board elections

California R-I

There are five candidates for the two seats up for election for the California R-I School Board - Rhonda Meyer, incumbent Paul Bloch, Jason Nelson, Marty Ramsdell and Jay VanDieren.

Tipton R-VI

Four candidates are competing for the two seats up for election for the Tipton R-VI School Board - Greg Miller, Joe Huhmann, David Patten and Darrell Bolin.

Russellville (Cole R-I)

Three candidates are in the contest for the Cole County R-I (Russellville) School Board - Debbie Malzner, Jerry Schulte and Kurt Brewer.

High Point R-III

Three candidates are seeking the two seats coming open on the High Point R-III School Board - Jennifer A. Dampf, Rick Percival and David Kenyon.

Latham R-V

Three candidates have entered the fray for the two Latham R-V School Board seats open - Shawn M. Higgins, Denish Roush and James Bonecutter.

Eldon (Miller R-I)

There are three candidates for the two open seats on the Eldon R-I School Board - Jerome Atteberry, Duane Kliethermes and Todd Bennett.
