Pinto golfers advance to Class 2 Sectionals; Tuttle is All-District

The California High School boys' golf team participated in the Class 2 District 4 Golf Tournament April 25 at Redfield Golf Course, Eugene, where four of the five Pintos qualified to advance to Class 2 Sectionals Thursday at Eagle Knoll Golf Course, Ashland.

The top two teams at the district tourney, as well as the top 15 individual finishers, advance to sectionals.

"I was real excited to see four of our guys qualify for sectionals," California Coach Doug Miller said. "I hated to see that Grant Burger didn't qualify though. The greens were faster than we're used to. Hopefully our four boys can qualify for the state championships."
