Indians end season with loss to Harrisburg

The Russellville Indians faced Harrisburg Saturday in the first round of the Class 2 District 6 Baseball Tournament at Harrisburg, where they suffered a 4-3 loss to the Bulldogs to end the season.

Chandler Wolf recorded the loss for Russellville with seven strikeouts.

Clayton Harrison led the Indians with two hits. Wolf and Nick Haslag followed with one hit and one RBI each.

"This was not how we expected our season to end," Russellville Coach Lucas Branson said. "The kids knew we were going to have to play well and we didn't play at the level we needed to. We had high expectations, so it's very disappointing to not reach our goals. We worked really hard all season. I'm proud of our players for what they did accomplish this season and I know when they look back on it, they will remember the good moments we had. This was a great group to coach.
