California High School senior Adam Burger participated in the 2012 Class 2 State Golf Championships May 14-15 at Twin Oaks Country Club, Springfield, where he shot a 97 on day one and a 93 on day two to finish 82nd with 190.
Mitchell Rutledge, Whitfield, was the top finisher with 141. (Par was 71.)
Whitfield finished in first place with 622, followed by Lutheran High School (St. Peters) with 648 and Mount Vernon with 650.
The Pinto golfers wrapped up the 2012 season with the annual CHS Golf Banquet Thursday night. (See the May 30 issue of the California Democrat.)
