Winners of the Prairie Home School Bikes for Reading drawing held Friday at the PHS Elementary Awards Assembly, front row, from left, are kindergartener Caroline Rhode and fourth grader Clayton Pethan. Standing behind, from left, are Megan Alpers, owner of Split Ends, who purchased the girls' bike; Mason Tom Miller of Wallace Lodge #456; and mason Dorsey Alpers, who purchased the boys' bicycle. Students in grades K-6 had to read or be read to throughout the second semester of the school year to get their names in the drawing to win a bicycle. For every 50 minutes they read, their name was entered in the drawing. The Masonic Lodges of Boonville and Bunceton sponsor the program.
