Lutz and Stenquist Dental, California, will host the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick (PPK) competition for youth ages 6-15 at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Riley Field.
The age classification of participants is as of Dec. 31, 2012.
The annual free event gives young pro football fans the opportunity to exhibit their football skills and showcase their talents in punting, passing and place-kicking.
Registration can be done at 1 p.m. before the competition Sept. 16, or pre-registration can be done at www.nflppk.com.
Participants are judged on distance and accuracy in each event. The top finishers from each age group at this local competition will advance to the sectional competition. Scores of the winners at the sectional competition will be compared with other sectional champions, with the top five scorers to advance to the championships, which will be held at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, or the TWA Dome, St. Louis.
