Indians scalp Eagles 11-5

Russellville's varsity and JV baseball teams opened the season at home Thursday with big wins against Jamestown.

The varsity Indians defeated the Eagles 11-5 in five innings. Kaleb Libbert recorded the win with four strikeouts.

Tanner White led Russellville hits with two sinigles and three RBI. Chase Smith followed with two singles and two RBI. Tanner Morrow chipped in with a single and one RBI.

Russellville's JV defeated Jamestown 11-1 in three innings. Zach Voss recorded the win. Isaac Kirchner led Russellville hits with an inside-the-park grand slam. Ryland Johnson had two singles and one RBI, while Tyler Soell also had two singles.

The Indians will host Otterville at 5 p.m. Thursday.
