Felony drug charges were filed against two people as a result of information gathered in the course of another investigation.

According to court documents, brothers Robert L. Smart, 21, California, and Jonathan M. Williams, 23, no address given, were charged with drug related offenses.

They were allegedly associated in the manufacture of methamphetamine in two "one pot" meth labs in a barn in the McGirk area between May 4 and June 4.

Smart, allegedly the actual manufacturer, faces two separate Class B Felony charges for Distribution /Delivery /Manufacture /Production or Attempt to or Possess with Intent to Distribute /Deliver /Manufacture /Produce a Controlled Substance.

If convicted on these charges, he faces from five to 15 years on each charge. No bond allowed.

Williams, alleged to have provided some of the precursor materials, faces Class D Felony of Providing Reagents, Solvents or Precursor Materials to Another with Intent of Illegal Product of Controlled Substance for that offense. For his alleged possession of precursor materials to manufacture his own product, he faces a charge of Class D Felony Possession of any Methamphetamine Precursor Drug with Intent to Manufacture Amphetamine, Methamphetamine or any of their Analogs.

If convicted on these charges, he could face up to four years in prison and a $5,000 fine on each charge. Bond has been set at $25,000.
