Tuesday, July 2, children from Active Learning School visited the Moniteau County Historical Society Building.

Richard Schroeder took the children on a tour showing them many items collected from the Moniteau County area. The children loved the stories Schroeder told them about some of the items, the buttons on a string, what games children played and even how it was when they went to school.

Crews continue work this week at the foot of the Junction Bridge in the project to provide access to what's believed to be the original "little rock" that gave the city its name.

Upstairs Schroeder let them set in a wagon to see what it was like back in the old days. The children returned to Active Learning School with many stories to tell.
