The annual membership meeting of the Friends of the Finke Theatre was held on July 23 at the theatre with President Sara Holtsclaw presiding.
The meeting started with a review of the last year's activities followed by an outline of the 2013/14 season. Attention was called to the two August performances with the Community Band Concert on Aug. 18 and the Swing St. Louis Show on Aug. 24. The Finke will kick off its 2013/14 season Sept.14 with Sting Ray Anthony- Juke Box Rock. It was reported that the community fundraising campaign was moving ahead with 47 businesses and individuals contributing. Plans are progressing on the annual Finke raffle to be held as part of the
Ham & Turkey Festival. There will also be a free show during the afternoon of the Festival at the Finke Theatre.
New officers were elected as follows: Pam Green as President replacing Sara Holtsclaw; Vice President, Suzanne Taggart; Treasurer, Sara Holtsclaw replacing Pam Green; Secretary, Carolyn Miller; replacing Gail Hughes. Newly elected Board Members are Dennis Donley for the remainder of Harold Haldiman's term, Carolyn Miller, Suzanne Taggart and Gail Hughes for a three year term.
After the business meeting the members enjoyed a social hour hosted by the Finke Board
members.
