The Russellville Alumni Banquet was held on Saturday, June 1, at the Russellville Middle School cafeteria.  It was a packed house with approximately 150 alumnus with spouses/friends attending the event.   President Aaron Steenbergen welcomed the crowd and led them in the pledge to the flag.  A meal followed with fried chicken and roast beef with all of the trimmings prepared by Osage Catering. The Russellville Boy Scout Troop 96 helped served the meal. After the meal, Jana Thompson, recently retired Cole R-1 Assistant Elementary Principal, was the guest speaker.  She introduced her family and then shared numerous stories of her teaching and administrative experiences with the Cole R-1 School District.  Aaron Steenbergen then gave special recognition to 75 year, 50 year, 25 year and current graduates.  Warren Dampf was the only 75 year graduate present and the 50-year class graduates were well represented.
