The United Way of Central Missouri Board of Directors approved $75,000 in one-time grants to 11 agencies on Wednesday, June 12. Moniteau Christian Ministries Center, Inc. (MCMC) received a grant of $11,500 to be used for the drywall and dropped ceilings in the new facility on Latham Rd. MCMC's Board anticipates that the drywall part of the construction will begin this month, June 2013, and anticipates that the building will be operational in 2013.
Of the 11 grant recipients, five are United Way partner agencies, and six are charitable organizations that serve the United Way of Central Missouri service area. The United Way received 19 grant requests totaling $156,719.
