Library hosts story hour

Thursday, June 20,  the theme of the summer reading program at Wood Place Library was "Dig Into the Past: Archaeology."  Richard and Carole Schroeder provided a mock "dig" at the sand volleyball court at Procotor Park Lake.  They Schroeders created painted pots with messages on them that were broken, then placed in a grid for each child to excavate.

Once the shards were found, they gathered in the shelter house to piece them together to see what was written on them. The messages were about reading and the library.
