The California High School varsity track team opened the season with an indoor meet Monday, March 18, at the University of Central Missouri (UCM), Warrensburg, where a number of Pintos and Lady Pintos were top finishers.
Junior Sydney Deeken led California with first place finishes in the High Jump and Long Jump, while the team of Libby Martin, Kamryn Koetting, Jasmine Wells and Deeken finished the 4x200 Meter Relay in second place.
The CHS track team will participate in a meet at Warrensburg Saturday.
