RUSSELLVILLE - Nearly a dozen high school students from Cole County R-I Schools attended the State Beta Convention recently.
More than 2,000 Missouri students and sponsors attended the two-day convention, where Silver Dollar City owner Peter Herschend spoke.
Superintendent Jerry Hobbs is chairman of the Missouri State Beta Council and a National Beta Club Council board member.
