Three local women were given makeovers Saturday at Something Sassy Beauty Salon LLC, California, as winners of the "Extreme Makeover-Something Sassy Edition" contest in conjuntion with the salon's seventh anniversary.
The contest ran Feb. 13-March 20, in which nominations were submitted with a 100-word essay detailing why the nominee deserved a makeover.
"We wanted to make three deserving women feel special and beautiful," salon owner and stylist Stephanie Stokes said. "There are so many women who just don't take time for themselves, to get their hair cut or colored, to get pampered."
