Double-X Speedway to open on Mother's Day

The Double-X Speedway, California, will open the 2013 racing season on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12.

Weekly classes will include the 360 Winged Sprints, Street Stocks and Hobby Stocks.

Special events throughout the season will include the ASCS 360 Warrior Region Sprints, W.A.R. (Wingless Auto Racing), the 600cc Winged and non-winged Micro Midget Sprints, the U.L.M.A.

(United Limited Late Models), and the M.A.L.S. (Mid America Lightning Sprints).

"We're also going to have three memorial races this year," Carol Wirts, Double-X Owner and Promoter, said. "In honor of Jesse Hockett, Riley Hudson and Clyde Wood."

The 2013 season will conclude in August, with the championships and final points race.

Gates at the Double-X will open at 5 p.m. Sunday, with hot laps to begin at 7 p.m., and racing to

begin at 7:30 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $10, while pit passes are $25. Special event pricing may vary.
