Lady Eagles place second at conference meet; Strother is MVP

The Jamestown C-1 varsity track team competed at the CCAA Conference Track Meet April 23 at Boonville, where freshman Mickayla Strother was named conference MVP, and the Lady Eagles finished in second place.

In the girls' division, Pilot Grove won the title, while Prairie Home finished third.

In the boys' division, Jamestown placed third. Prairie Home won the title, followed by Higbee in second place. Prairie Home's Trever Huth was named MVP.

Top finishers for Jamestown in the girls' division are as follows: Kellie Branham placed third in the High Jump with 4'02"; Robyn Eschenbrenner, fourth, 4'; Eschenbrenner, second, Long Jump, 13'05.50"; Mickayla Strother, first, Triple Jump, 29'03"; Mickayla Strother, first, 100 Meter Hurdles, 17.45, and Alli Muri, fourth, 20; Mickayla Strother, third, 100 Meter, 13.78; Mickayla Strother, first, 1600 Meter, 6:26; Alexis Muri, third, 400 Meter, 1:12.47, and Stephanie Birkmann, fourth, 1:14.19; Mickayla Strother, second, 300 Meter Hurdles, 54.13; and Mackenzie Strother, first, 800 Meter, 2:43; the team of Mackenzie Strother, Birkmann, Branham and Alli Muri place second in the 4x200 Meter Relay with 2:08.28; and the team of Eschenbrenner, Alexis Muri, Birkmann and Alli Muri placed first in the 4x100 Meter Relay with 59.

Top finishers for Jamestown in the boys' division are as follows: Trevor Barbour placed third in the Long Jump with 17'03.50", and Matt Hendrickson, fourth, 15'07.50"; Barbour, second, Triple Jump, 38'; Jones, third, 1600 Meter, 5:38, and Dylan Ash, fourth, 5:46; Hunziker, third, 400 Meter, 59.06, and fourth, 300 Meter Hurdles, 53.64; Jones, fourth, 800 Meter, 2:33; Hendrickson, fourth, 200 Meter, 26.45; and Ash, second, 3200 Meter, 13:11.

The team of Colton DeVore, Hendrickson, Garrett Jones and Barbour placed second in the 4x200 Meter Relay with 1:46.12; the team of Jones, Hunziker, Hendrickson and Dalton Imhoff placed first in the 4x400 Meter Relay with 4:20.00; and the team of DeVore, Wyatt Hunziker, Andrew Hardwick and Johnson placed first in the 4x100 Meter Relay with 53.59.

In the junior high division, the Jamestown boys finished in second place, while the Jamestown girls also placed second.
