The 2013-14 Westminster women's basketball team has been announced.
Leigh Ann Lutz , a senior, California, is going to be playing as a guard this year for the basketball team. Prior to coming to Westminster, Lutz attended California High School.
Sadie Theroff , a sophomore,Jefferson City, is going to be playing as a guard this year for the basketball team. Prior to coming to Westminster, Theroff attended Jefferson City High School.
Tylere Goans, a sophomore, California, is going to be playing as a guard or a forward this year for the basketball team. Prior to coming to Westminster, Goans attended California High School.
The Westminster Blue Jays are being led this season by Head Coach Tracey Braden and assisted by Clifton Cooper. Coach Braden is entering her seventh year with the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays appeared in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history last season (first time was in 2011-12 season). At the end of the 2012-13 season, Westminster was back-to-back-to-back St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Champions and back-to-back SLIAC Tournament Champions. The Blue Jays finished the season with a 17-11 overall record and a 14-2 SLIAC record.
The Blue Jays begin the 2013-14 season on Nov. 15 as they host the Tip Off Tournament. The Blue Jays will face Elmhurst College at 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15. They have 10 returning student-athletes.
