High Point School honors veterans

The High Point School served breakfast to area veterans Monday, Nov. 11. The breakfast consisted of biscuits, sausage, provided by The Russellville Locker, and sausage gravy, oranges, juice, coffee and milk. Thirty veterans from numerous branches of the military attended the breakfast. Each veteran was asked to stand and state which branch of service and any conflicts in which they had served. After each had been recognized the fifth-eight grade students sang "My Country Tis of Thee and America the Beautiful" to the guests The program ended with all standing and saying the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag.
