Lady Bluejays capture 40-24 win from Clarksburg

The High Point seventh and eighth grade girls basketball team hosted Clarksburg Nov. 7, where the Lady Bluejays captured a 40-24 win led by Ally Harris with 10 points. Tristan Porter and Olivia Percival each scored six. Lizzy Edison and Olivia Harris led rebounds with six each.

The Lady Bluejays participated in the Clarksburg Tournament Nov. 14-16, where High Point ultimately placed third after defeating Tipton, losing to Clarksburg, and defeating Russellville in the contest for third place.

The Lady Bluejays defeated Tipton 26-18 in the tourney Nov. 14. Ally Harris scored seven points, while Kendra Besche and Olivia Percival each had five. Besche led rebounds with eight.

High Point lost 48-18 to Clarksburg Nov. 15. Tristan Porter led the Lady Bluejays with eight points. Besche led rebounds with six, followed by Percival with five.

High Point defeated Russellville 30-29 Nov. 16, to capture third place in the tourney. Tristan Porter led the Lady Bluejays with 14 points, followed by Ally Harris with nine. Destiny Cook led rebounds with nine, while Besche had eight.
