Charged with tampering with electrical service

Justin W. Moser, 35, Clarksburg, was charged in Moniteau County Court with the Class C Felony of Tampering with Service of Utility or Institution in the first degree.

According to Court documents, the defendant is alleged to have been discovered by a utility worker to have reconnected electrical service previously disconnected for non-payment of an outstanding bill. Following the discovery, a law enforcement officer was called.

If convicted on this charge, the defendant could face up to seven years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Bond has been set at $5,000.
