The Deraps Memorial Blood Drive will be held at Jamestown High School at 222 School Street, Friday, Oct. 11, 2-7 p.m.
LCpl. Leon Deraps of the United States Marine Corps died on May 6, 2006, while on active duty in Iraq.
Leon was involved in many activities. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of Jamestown High School's FFA.
Leon will always be remembered for his smile and willingness to help others.

Make it a day to donate as well. There will be a basket for supplies for the troops for Christmas. Items such as playing cards, baby wipes, large tubes of toothpaste, batteries, bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash are much appreciated. Marine parents will pack and ship these items to the troops in time for Christmas.
Chili and hot dogs will be served.
All presenting donors will receive a free t-shirt.
