California Elementary School hosted Donuts with Dads, which is a special breakfast for a student and male guardian, Friday, Oct. 11.

Students kindergarten through fifth grade along with dads attended and had breakfast made by the elementary cooks.

This event was organized by the elementary staff to build relationships with the dads of the students as well as a way to promote how important their involvement is within the education of their child.

The elementary kitchen staff arrived at 6:15 a.m. to make and serve biscuits and gravy, cereal, milk and juice to a large crowd.

The event was held in California Elementary School cafeteria. Students were allowed to bring any male guardian to share breakfast.

Donuts with Dads has been going on for four years and it was a successful event as children bonded with fathers during breakfast.
